Know what you own. Then grow it on purpose.
Triumph Wealth Group is an independent financial services practice out of Joplin, Missouri, run by Greg Baird and built around life insurance, annuities, retirement income and straight financial education.
Most people do not have a product problem. They have a coordination problem.
Four accounts opened in four different decades, none of them aware the others exist. Nothing is coordinated, so nothing compounds and nobody can tell you whether you are on track.
Every account is on its own
A 401(k) from one job, an IRA from another, a policy bought on a whim, none of them ever compared against each other. Money sitting apart like that cannot compound.
You only heard the upside
Any financial tool worth using also has a limit, a cost, and a situation where it is flatly the wrong choice. Most people get sold one side of that and never the other.
A balance is not a paycheck
Growing a lump sum and turning that same lump sum into income that survives a bad market year are two different jobs. A number in an account is not a plan by itself.
Nothing covers the earner
Every growth strategy quietly assumes the person earning the money keeps earning it. A diagnosis, a disability or an early death is what actually derails a plan, and that is the piece most families never get to.
Four pillars, one coordinated strategy
Each of these solves a different problem. The work is deciding which ones you actually need and in what order, which is a different conversation than being sold the one that pays best.
Retirement and Wealth Strategies
Retirement income, tax-advantaged accumulation, rollover and qualified plan strategy, education funding, and protection built around your time horizon.
Explore retirementAnnuities
Fixed, fixed indexed and income annuities that convert a balance you cannot afford to lose into income that arrives whether the market cooperates or not.
Explore annuitiesLife Insurance and IUL
Term, participating whole life and indexed universal life, designed for the job you are hiring the policy to do rather than the commission it pays.
Explore life insuranceFinancial Education
Workshops, one on one sessions and plain-language breakdowns, because a strategy you do not understand is a strategy you will abandon in the first bad year.
Explore educationFive steps. No pressure, no jargon.
The first meeting has no application in it. If you leave understanding your options and decide to do nothing, that is a legitimate outcome and Greg will say so out loud.
The conversation
About 30 minutes on income, obligations, timeline, and what actually worries you. Nothing is sold and no product gets mentioned in this one.
The map
Everything you already own, laid out in one place, with the gaps marked and a note on what each dollar is currently doing, including what is already working fine.
The options
Two or three routes placed side by side, with liquidity, tax treatment, fees, guarantees and the scenario where each one underperforms written down in plain sight.
Getting it done
Applications, transfers, underwriting and beneficiary paperwork, handled start to finish by one named person instead of being routed into a service queue.
Checking back
Tax law shifts, income shifts, families shift. The plan gets looked at again every year and adjusted on purpose, instead of drifting for a decade unexamined.
Independent by design. Access to multiple carriers. Focused on you.
As an independent licensed insurance professional, Greg has access to products from multiple insurance carriers rather than being limited to a single company. That lets him educate clients on the available options and help identify solutions aligned with their protection, retirement-income and long-term financial goals.
Not tied to one carrier
Triumph Wealth Group works across multiple insurance carriers instead of a single company's shelf, so the comparison is real rather than a formality.
No application at the first meeting
If you walk out understanding your options and decide to do nothing at all, that counts as a successful meeting, and we will say so ourselves.
Built right, not just sold
How a product is funded, structured and carrier-matched decides whether it succeeds or fails. That is where the actual work happens, long before the sales part ever would.
Greg, start to finish
Same person on the first call, the meeting, the application, and your file after that. Nothing gets handed off to someone you have never spoken to.

30 min
first conversation, no application
Run the numbers before the conversation.
Ten calculators covering life insurance needs, coverage gaps, retirement income, longevity and health plan costs. Nothing is stored and no contact details are required.
They will not replace a conversation, but they will make the first one more specific. Bring the results, or bring nothing at all and start from what you know.
Families finally getting organized
A handful of accounts, a policy somebody sold years ago, zero single view of how any of it connects. This is the single most common first meeting on the books.
Five to ten years out from retiring
This is the window where the question flips from growing a number to turning that same number into income that can survive a bad run of market returns.
Business owners
Personal and business capital tangled together, retirement plan options for a small team, key person exposure, and what the business actually does if the owner cannot work.
Second opinions
You own something already and want a straight read on it. Bring the in-force illustration or the annuity contract. Swapping it out is not automatically a win.
What do people ask before they call?
It works out what you actually need, compares options across multiple insurance carriers, and then handles the application and service work that follows. Independent is the key word, we are not stuck on one company's shelf of products. Triumph Wealth Group runs out of Joplin, Missouri and serves families, retirees and business owners across the five states Greg is licensed in.
A captive agent sells for one insurance company only, whatever that company offers. An independent agency compares products from multiple carriers side by side. The real-world difference is choice: price you badly or decline your case, and an independent agency still has somewhere else to turn. Neither model is dishonest on its face, the range of options is just different.
The carrier pays a commission on whatever gets placed, a percentage of premium plus a smaller ongoing amount later for servicing it. You are not writing us a separate check. The exact figure shifts by product and by carrier. Want to know the number on a specific recommendation? Ask in the meeting and you will get a direct answer.
No fee for the first meeting, the written summary, or placing coverage, none of it. We do not bill planning fees, consultation fees or retainers. Carriers pay us when business is placed. If a contract itself ever carries a carrier-charged fee, it is written into that contract and we will flag it before anything gets signed.
A contract between you and an insurance company, nothing more exotic than that. You hand over money, and depending on what the contract says, the carrier credits interest, protects your principal, pays you income, or combines all three. The risk profile shifts a lot between annuity types. Whatever is guaranteed rests on the issuing company's claims paying ability, not on anything else.
The insurance company declares an interest rate for a set period, and your principal never sees market risk during that window. You know the crediting terms going in. A multi year guaranteed annuity, usually shortened to MYGA, locks that declared rate for the entire term. Rates shift often and vary by carrier, so any number we hand you comes straight off the carrier's current sheet.
Interest credits here track a market index, with a floor underneath that protects your principal from any index loss. You own no shares and you are not invested in the index itself. The trade for that protection is a limit on the upside, capped, participation-rated, or spread, depending on the contract, and those limits shift by carrier and over time.
Book the first conversation. It costs nothing and sells nothing.
Thirty minutes on your income, your obligations, your timeline and what you are actually worried about. No products. No application. You leave with a clearer picture either way.
